Starting the first day of LKG (lower kindergarten grade) in Nepal was terrifying. I was only 3 years old and I was already starting school. At Modern Newa English School I enjoyed every little time there. This school was amazing for a 3 year old because while learning, we went on field trips, we had field days, we played all day long. This school not only taught Nepali, it also taught English and Newari. Newari is a Sino-Tibetan language that is spoken by Newars. Being a Nepali and Newari was amazing because you had more events to celebrate such as Mha Puja (celebrating one's own self) and Gufa (a coming of age ritual for Newari girls).
