Toy story innovated the Pixar brand with this family-friendly, pure CGI feature film.Released on VHS, the meaningful plot and likeable characters develop throughout the 81 minute run time. It is a memorable and lovable film in the company of pixar. It revolutionised Disney’s image and without it we would have never have “Monsters, Inc.”, “Finding Nemo” and no “Up”. Later, Pixar’s third instalment of Toy Story, “Toy Story 3” was nominated for best picture at the academy awards. It was a rare kids film in which the witty dialogue appealed to both children and adults. An entire CGI feature film had never been seen before by audiences, almost automatically ensuring success in Pixar’s first film. Toy story was later released on DVD on the 17th of October 2000.
