technicolor was the major milestone for film in (1935) this advancements made waves although by today standards it was incredibly primitive a the use of only 3 colors meant that particular colors pop more than others, as the yellow sienna and magenta frames would highlight colors like yellow and blue over red or the skin color of people in the scene this should not however discredit the huge leap this made and the advancement this made to the film and television industry as the first color film in 1935 was Becky sharp although quite primitive by today's standards still has to be appreciated for the marvel it was and the wizard of oz in 1939 was another colored film that used color to its advantage as it allows them to tell a visual story by filming reality in back and white and the fantasy world of oz in color showing how harsh reality is to fiction this was really the first time color was used as a narative devise
