A Heroic Epic about King Gilgamesh of Uruk (modern Irag) one of the earliest works of literature, from the origins of civilization in Mesopotamia. Gilgamesh (or Bilgamesh) embarks on adventures with his harry buddy Enkidu, interacts with the gods personally. After the death of Enkidu, which is a punishment for Gligamesh's rejection of Goddes Ishtar he turns his focus on seeking immortality. The epic's flood Narrative is ofent compared with the Biblical tale of Noah. The Flood tale is told by Ut-Napishtim a relative of Gilgamesh
