He had stayed and traveled through Wyoming for a decade. since he discovered the south pass he had opened a super highway that settlers would travel through even though it was more dangerous it got them through more effortlesly. The south pass made it easy for them to cross the continental divide. when he went to Wyoming that.s where him and his men camped for the winter.
