He was a French chemist, born in 1754 in France, died in 1826 in France. He came up with his Law of Definite Proportions, which states that a compound is made of exact proportions of elements by mass, no matter how the compound was made. He discovered this through his experiments with inorganic binary compounds. Facts- His law was first published in a paper about iron oxides in 1794.
