The Stock Market Crash of 2008 was the biggest drop in the stock market and financial crisis since the Great Depression. It occurred because of Congress rejecting the bank bailout bill. Company's stocks plummeted. Investors were scarred for the the next four years but the stock market eventaully recovered in 2013.
