Descripción:
The Tabulator was invented by IBM's founder, Herman Hollerith, in 1890. The machines basic function is to count and/or add from punched cards and then produce results or reports on dials. The tabulator reads a deck of punched cards, in which each card contains a series of numeric and/or (later models) alphabetic fields. It then counts the cards and accumulates totals for each of the desired numeric fields, optionally printing selected fields from each card. When the card deck is finished, counts and totals are printed and reset.
