The Utah war ended on June 26, 1858 after 10 months and 25 days of fighting the expedition is over. Col. Johnston leaves to go back home to Washington D.C. President James Bushman had been kicked out of office and President Millard Fillmore took his place. After the expedition was over Brigham Young became governer of Utah.
