1 dic 2013 año - 'The Wolf Of Wall Street' first film to be shipped only in digital format.

Descripción:

Prior to 'The Wolf Of Wall Street' films were often shipped as film and sometimes digital, this being the first to not be shipped in film at all. It cost $1500 to ship a 35mm print to a cinema, it cost 90% less for a digital version. For a large film it could cost $7.5 million on 35mm when it would cost $750,000 on digital.

This changed the film industry as the director, Martin Scorsese, was a huge pioneer in terms of directing in the film industry. Many people involved in filmmaking still used film until this point because they looked up to Martin Scorsese and believed that if it is good enough for him, it is good enough for themselves. When he moved his recent film entirely over to digital, it shocked the industry and caused a lot of filmmakers to jump ship to digital.
