15 jun 1767 año - Townshend Acts
Descripción:
Sponsored by Charles Townshend, the Townshend Acts of 1767 were a series of acts passed by British parliament that taxed china, glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea that were imported into the colonies. It also allowed writs of assistance to prevent smuggling. The colonies saw this as an abuse of British power and they were not happy. To keep the colonists at bay, Parliament send troops to America to enforce these laws. This caused even more tension between Britain and the colonies, leaving their relationship immensely strained.
