24 mar 1765 año - Quartering Act of 1765

Descripción:

The Quartering Act forced colonists to allow British troops to quarter, or live, in their houses, inns, stables, and anywhere else that the soldiers can be put. The New York assembly agreed they didn't like having troops stationed in their buildings without consent. In order to stop the New York Colony, the New York Restraining act was passed in 1767, stopping the colonial assembly from signing legislation until they comply with this act and the king sees that peace is restored. This act was a major factor in what would become the Boston Massacure.
