29 jun 1767 año - Townshend Acts
June 22nd 1767
Descripción:
The Townshend acts were initially passed on June 22nd, 1767. It was an act that placed import tax on British products the Americans bought such as lead, glass, paper, tea, and paint. The British rationalized this because they needed money and it finally put absolute sovereignty over the colonies into action.
The Colonists reacted with boycotts, petition, and newspaper attacks because they rationalized that it was Taxation without Representation at its core.
