1 jul 1997 año - Handover of Hong Kong
Descripción:
What was a small fishing village is now the second most competitive economy in the world. In 1842, after winning Hong Kong in the first opium war, Great Britain handed Hong Kong back to China on July 1st, 1997. However, this didn't mean Hong Kong went back to becoming a regular country in China. It was decided on by both China and the UK that Hong Kong would be governed under the "one country two systems" rule for 50 years, until 2047, making Hong Kong a Special Administrative Region (SAR).
