From 1540 to 1542 Coronado explored the Great Plains. He is originally from Spain. He went to Texas looking for the 7 cities of gold. Unfortunately he found no gold and made no settlements but, he did cross the sea of grass (panhandle). He also told stories about buffalo, villages, and land in the panhandle.Añadido al timeline:
