1 ene 1685 año - Age of Enlightenment (1685-1815): 1/2

Descripción:

A movement that was known as the Age of Reason changed things like politics, science, and philosophy. People in France, Britain, and throughout Europe were wondering about how humanity itself could be improved. This time period produces lots of books, essays, discoveries, revolutions, and much, much more. During the Early Enlightenment people like Francis Bacon, Thomas Hobbes, and Galileo, made discoveries and inventions that provided for other Enlightenment Advances, like Newton’s “Principia Mathematica,” and Locke’s “Essay Concerning Human Understanding.” All of the disagreements between the European countries eventually merged into one Enlightenment. During the High Enlightenment, things like the Encyclopedia and the Philosophical Dictionary were written. This time also had a lot to do with religion. As secret societies arose, newspapers and gossip were new ways for more and more ideas to go around. During the Late Enlightenment, the French Revolution of 1789 threw out older authorities and made society think along more rational lines.
