On May 2, 1519 the world lost a painter, a sculptor, an architect, an inventor, a military engineer and a draftsman. Leonardo is mainly known for is painting the Mona Lisa and the Last Super. He studied nature, mechanics, anatomy, physics, architecture, weaponry and many more. He often created accurate, workable designs for machines like the bicycle, helicopter, submarine, and military tank, where he wrote and drew all of these in secret journals. As Sigmund Freud wrote “like a man who awoke too early in the darkness, while the others were still asleep.”
