6 ene 1347 año - Beginning of Black Death

Descripción:

Caused by fleas living on infected rats that later spread to humans through trade and poor sanitation. Due to poor nutrition, many were more susceptible, and the disease was easily spread from person to person through pneumonic transmission (sneezing/coughing). Wealthy individuals, attempting to flee the cities, inadvertently brought the plague with them into the countryside. Europe lost about a third of its population, which did make it easier to sustain through agriculture. However, there was huge inflation—high demand and low supply, which allowed workers to demand better wages. Religious fervor also became widespread, with many interpreting it as a punishment from god, and lead to a huge wave of anti-Jewish violence.
