Japan, which was hungry for resources, decided to invade the resource-rich region of Manchuria that bordered their territory. They staged an attack to invade Manchuria. China appealed to the League, which did very little in response--they were too scared to act. Even sending a Lytton Commission to judge the situation was too late.Añadido al timeline:
