1 abr 1996 año - Pavlovksy "media manages" Yeltsin's re-election campaign
Descripción:
In the months before the election, Yeltsin’s popularity was at an all time low of just 3 percent, with Communist opponent Gennady Zyuganov making rapid gains. Fearing a return to communism, the oligarchs – including and almost especially Boris Berezovsky – chose to back Yeltsin’s campaign to protect their wealth.
Key to winning was convincing the electorate that there was no possible alternative but to vote for Yeltsin. Said Pavlovksy of the campaign: “Our political strategies were a way of establishing Yeltsin’s hegemony as a leader without an alternative.”
