9 abr 1772 año - Aquatint
Descripción:
This is another form of etching which printmakers use in order to get a broad range of tones. The reason the process is called Aquatint is because by the end of it, the final product ends up being more like a water colour painting. The process consists of exposing a copper plate to an acid through a layer of granulated resin which will be corroded at leaving an evenly pitted layer, which has a broad range of tones when printed. there is an infinite amount of tones you can get by exposing different parts of the copper to acid.
