First battles of the American Revolution. In the battle of Concord, a British armed force of 700 marched into Concord, Massachusetts. In the battle of Lexington, British troops were sent to confiscate colonial weapons but instead, they run into an untrained colonial army who defeats the 700 British soldiers. this gave them a confidence boost for the American Revolution.
