This event is the most influential in my life as and american citizen as I may not be here if not for this. The discovery of the Americas created many conflicts for European countries over land and many rebellions resulting in many new countries such as the United States. It also caused the downfall of many civilizations such as the Incas because the europeans had much more advanced tech.
