21 sept 4503 año aC - Sa'be Petroglyph

Descripción:

The Sa'be or Bagwajiwininiwag (wilderness person or wildman) is the Ojibwe name for bigfoot and is even in the seven grandfather teachings, a rule set for the ojibwe people similar to the Christian Ten Commandments, but with animals representing virtues. The Sa'be represents honesty. In Petroglyphs Provincial Park, Ontario, there is a large stone bed that has been carved some time between 6000 BCE to 1600. The reason why nobody really knows how old it is is because it is considered a holy site to the Ojibwe and damaging it would hurt their culture. Many petroglyphs are on the rock showing humans, snakes, birds and gods as well as the Sa'be. The Sa'be's position is similar to the Hairy Man Petroglyphs of California and has long arms and a large extended stomach, usually representing the animal to be large in Ojibwe art.
