In May 25th of 1972 over 200 different people during a single week reported seeing a dark gray haired 7 ft tall creature near Coal Hollow. These sightings eventually lead to an organized search involving one hundred volunteers. The search was called off when it started raining very heavily. This incident was one of the largest sightings of a single bigfoot recorded.
