she calls harrison sigark, the owner of a speakeasy in the city named padma's inn, and the deal was made. in exhange for two million dollars, he'd give them the amulet.

arinin and dez fashion disguises. brisk finds clothes unnecessary. leander was too distraught at the thought of being without armor, so betsy let him wear it, thinking he could easily pass as your bodyguard.

before you left, betsy fashioned you all badges that had the symbol of les claire les lunes, a notorious gang in the city. hopefully, it would keep trouble away and help you blend in.

ben drove you to the station. from there, you boarded the train rode to the city. in your cabin you heard a radio report that holly and ciro had last been sighted near the city.

once arrived, you were ambushed by gnome nurses who were protesting the prohibition--the ban of infusing magic into alchoholic drinks. a police officer shooed them away from you. he turned to you and tipped his hat, and you could see he was a member of the gang you were pretending to be in.

as you walked towards the speakeasy, you soon discovered you were being followed. three figures appeared, a large half-orc wearing a porcelain rabbit mask, a medium satyr wearing a porcelain buck mask, and a small goblin wearing a rat porcelain mask. rat threw a smoke grenade at you, and you all were knocked unconscious.

when you awoke, you were all chained to a dumpster in an unknown ally. the leader of the group, buck, stated he was from a rival gang and wanted you to do his dirty work in exchange for your chest, which had the money for the amulet in it.

you fight their sewer monster, and just as they were about to fight you, a small kenku child in a plague doctor's mask shot rat and buck with poison needles and knocked unconscious. bunny recognized the kenku. they high fived, bunny told her to say hi to her dad for her, and that they'd stop by the inn soon.

bunny let you go, claiming any friends of padma were friends of hers. padma gave you a slip of paper and disappeared into the night.

you discovered that the slip of paper was a puzzle to navigate the streets of the city to the inn.

you reach the speakeasy, a tattered building, and step inside. you speak the code word and were let inside.

the speakeasy is a large room with a low ceiling with a bar on one side, tables and chairs in the middle, and a small stage on the other side along with a few couches. there were three rooms full of sex workers if so desired in the back of the room.

harrison greets you warmly. leander is protective of dez, whose nerves are just about ready to jump out of his skin. arinin and him order expensive drinks that are infused with magic.

in case you were confused, that's why it's a. a speakeasy. 'cus they serve illegal drinks. and it's the 20's. yea anyway.

brisk gives all his money to the young elven woman performing on stage along with some words of encouragement. the dm will remember this.

he also tried to go into the back rooms, and was promptly kicked out on the basis of being broke. they're sex workers, not a charity.

then, the lights dimmed and a very beautiful and very sexy gorgon woman named delilah performs a song while the kenku child robs the patrons distracted by her tits.

after her performance, she goes to the bar to greet her old friend, harrison.

suddenly the door kicks open. holly and ciro, two drow, strut in. dez has an aneurism.

delilah called the police, they got trapped in a back room, did an escape the room puzzle and when you escaped you were met with twenty officers.

leander saw someone from his home clan. the dragonborn felt betrayed and was angry that leander would turn to crime.

arinin reached in her pocket after the police said hands up. they all fired at her. leander lept in the way and took 126 points of piercing damage and died.

leander's soul is captured in the ethereal plane by a golden angelic figure with large wings and speckles of gold flakes on his cheeks.

he pulls leander from the plane and back into his body and heals his physical form from all the damage taken. dez and arinin recognize him as benjamin helmson, the worthington's butler and dezenik's partner. dez reaches out for him, ben lights up at the sight of him and reaches out too. before they can touch, a large arm covered in armor smacks itself over ben's mouth and around his waist and pulls him out of sight.

dezenik casts vicious mockery at the figure for taking ben away. brisk carries him out of the speakeasy to chase after the martins with harrison.

leander cries a lot, harrison reveals himself to be a barbarian, they catch up w holly and ciro and beat the snot out of them, dez commands ciro to drop padma. harrison gives them both concussions and knocks the dark magic possessing them out of their headspaces.

they cry the dark magic out. holly is revealed to have green eyes and ciro has light pink eyes that strongly resemble arinin's.

ciro looks at arinin and gently whispers her name in disbelief. arinin refuses to acknowledge it. holly and ciro have no recollection of any the crimes they committed--including killing dez's grandparents.

padma is dying. harrison grieves. a raven soars overhead.

the raven nosedives and reveals itself to be lady juliette, the raven's queen's aspect. she creates a gently glowing dome around you all to shield from the rain and any possible attacks.

the raven queen appears. she explains that fate demands a life to be taken tonight. she looks over at padma, whose breathing has become extremely labored.

the raven queen explains that fate has demanded a life be taken tonight and pulls up everyone's fate lines. everyone's weaves itself across time as normal, except leander's. leander's fate line has ended. but before their very eyes, his fate line weaves itself back into existence
