Several days of the week, I have karate classes. These classes are an example of cultural and social globalization, in that a Japanese self-defence style was Americanized, and then taught to a Canadian audience. The transformation of karate and how it is taught to students is very much an affair driven in part by globalization, and as such impacting students of karate.
