Digital Printing such as Laser/Ink Jet printers transferred RGB pixel information digitally into (cyan, magenta, Yellow and key/black) CMYK data through a set of roller printing the image which is accurate in colour, but it can be expensive depending on the type of printer used. Other printers such as Pantone printers are even more expensive, despite that they can achieve a higher range of colours. This method was introduced in 1987 and is a widely used method today in 2017, but, due to advances in computing technology, different methods are beginning to take its place as they can be cheaper while retaining the quality of the print.
