This word has been noted once only: 1538-9 <i>et de xviijd de Domino Conyers, Domino de Yarome, pro redditu de Brigferme per annum solvendis</i> (SS83/331). Conyers was paying for the ‘farm’ of the bridge so the inference is that he derived financial advantage from that, perhaps in tolls.
