The CCC stands for the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a program that was put in place as part of the new deal that gave men jobs to work around the country making public parks and restoring nature all around the US. It gave jobs to unmarried men between ages of 18-25 who planted more than 3 billion trees and worked in over 800 parks all over the United States. It is considered to be one of FDR’s most successful new deal programs.
