Descripción:

Rosa Parks, a 42 year old African American woman, refused to give up her seat on a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama to a white man. Because she would not give up her seat, she was taken off the bus, arrested and fined. This event is what sparked the Montgomery bus boycott.
