The Berlin Airlift began in response to the Berlin Blockade. It lasted for 11 months and US and British planes gave West Berlin supplies to keep them going. It ended with Stalin removing the blockade and the US looking like a hero in the eyes of the Cold War. This led to NATO being formed, as the non-Communist countries were looking to back each other up.Añadido al timeline:
