The British troops in the Netherlands knew they had to fight some time in this war and that time was now. The British government had owned the Netherlands since 1809, and the Dutch were fine with it. For more than 50 years, the Dutch people had been fighting for the British crown, however this war wasn't a small uprising, this was the largest and only war they had ever fought in.Añadido al timeline:
