7 mar 1965 año - Selma to Montgomery March
Descripción:
These marches were in an effort to get voting rights for African Americans in the south. The first march from Selma is now referred to as "Bloody Sunday" and caught the attention of many outraged americans who saw the demonstrators be teargassed and severely beaten when they refused to turn away from the troopers at Edmund Pettus Bridge. MLK planned another march but had to turn back when they were being blocked by the troopers.
