Over 250,000 people met in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC for the protest, which is often remembered by Martin Luther King’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech. The speech reminded protestors of the future that they hoped to achieve, and the march as a whole helped to call more attention for the continued need for equality between races.
