This is a fleet of 16 battleships that went around the globe. These ships were painted white. This happened due to President Teddy Roosevelt. The voyage was aimed to showcase the U.S.'s naval power. This was a significant event during this time because it helped the United States as a power of the nations and helped Pres. Roosevelt legacy. The fleet visited Japan which helped ease rising tensions during WW1.
