Description: This battle occurred in 1952 when British forces attacked an Egyptian governmental building in Ismailia. The Egyptian police refused orders to surrender the building, leading to a violent confrontation. Despite being outnumbered and outgunned, the Egyptian police resisted for several hours before the British stormed the building, killing around 50 officers and injuring many more. The clash became a rallying point for Egyptian nationalism.
