his experience making the film

"It was around 1989 or - um - 1990 when we began production on the film, which would be about five years ago now. I was the special effects supervisor for the project, so it was my job to make all of the effects that you see on screen. I've never been a professional animator - uh - just a hobbyist, but - uh - the director gave me, and pretty much everyone else, a hefty sum of cash to work for him. I met him through a mutual friend at the church and - uh - he basically hired me on the spot. The guy had this, like, super specific vision for what he wanted this movie to be and - uh - I think we ended up with, like, five different cuts of the film because we couldn't fit it all in. I don't think the movie made any money in the end, but - uh - all the production costs were covered out of the director's own pockets. So, it wasn't like any of us lost anything. Though, weirdly the director - uh - left town just before the release in 1991. Never heard from him since. During production, the director and a good portion of the team would - uh - would go out and pray at the church. I personally never joined them, but - uh - I always assumed they were praying for the film's success. In hindsight, the whole thing was, was feverish and almost frantic in a way. Not sure how else to describe it." -Midwest Angelica's Special Effects Supervisor
