LBJ asked Congress for an increased military presence in Vietnam and for the president to be able to have more military power
Allowed the president to go to battle without declaring war (unlimited war powers)
Caused a full scale war in Vietnam
Led to Congress revising to the War Powers Act after it realized it doesn't want the president to have full war powers
