The first general election with the increased Congressional seats for Puerto Rico and DC, bringing the Senate to 104 and the House to 441.

This election marks the first emergence of a nationalist element, branding themselves as anti-globalist, anti-communist, and hawkish on immigration and domestic "cultural decay". While some win on explicitly independent tickets, others win Republican nominations and seats. This Patriot group begins forming a caucus.
