1 ene 2800 año aC - The beginning of Greece and it's civilizations.
Descripción:
The Cycladic(sai-kla-duhk) civilization developed around 3000 BC on the Cycladic Islands in the Aegean(uh-jee-uhn) Sea and is commonly known for laying the pieces down for Greek culture. The people lived in small, very well arranged communities and had skills in crafting pottery, tools, and marble figures. These statues, mostly of women with folded arms, are some of the most well known symbols of cycladic art. Archaeologists assume that these figures had religious/symbolic meanings with them being related to fertility, life, and death. The Cycladic people were also involved in trade with nearby cultures, trading goods such as obsidian, pottery, and metals, which helped their community grow and interact with other people in the Aegean region. The Cycladic people shared beliefs and customs that were mostly in their burial practices, art, and daily life. Graves often contained tools, weapons, and jewelry, with the belief in the afterlife or the sign of status and memory of the person after death. Their homes were simple but structured very well, with that meaning that the community valued both usefulness and strength. Though written records have not survived, their consistent use of certain symbols and artistic styles across the islands points to shared religious and cultural beliefs. Overall, the Cycladic civilization played an important role in paving the way for early Greek culture through art, customs, and way of life.
