Johnny was presented with the Honour Award which he looked really proud and happy to receive.

Johnny Depp was awarded with the Sant Jordi Honour Award durning the 65th Sant Jordi Award for Cinematography (Premis Sant Jordi de Cinematografia), which is sponsored by the Catalan branch of the Spanish radio network Radio Nacional de España and rewards the most outstanding national and foreign movies.

The winners were announced during a gala event at Cinemes Verdi in Barcelona on 19 April and as Johnny could not attend the event (he departed Spain 17 April) so a prerecorded video was made just after the Minamata press conference on 16 April - a snippet of the moment of the recording was released on the RTVE Catalunya Twitter.

Johnny Depp's words: "Thank you very much. I mostly thank you to all of you, to the people especially, for inviting me to Spain, to Barcelona, to inviting me to this wonderful festival and for honouring me with such a prestigious and a special award. It's a beautiful piece of art, as well. So thank to you everyone for everything and we'll see down on the road. Gracias"
