Dawes plan goes into effect on this date

This is one of Stressemans ways to stop the ruhr occupations

The plan was negotiated between Germany against France, Belgium and UK which was mediated by Charles Dawes (an American)

The idea was for American banks to lend money to Germany for them to finish their currency reforms and give ability to pay part of reparations:

- annual sum of reparations lowered to 50 million pounds and to be increased gradually
- Germany ability to pay to be monitored by a neutral commission which can mediate disputes
- France + Germany would withdraw from the Ruhr
- France + Belgium also promise not to take unilateral action in the Ruhr
