23 agos 1939 año - Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact
Descripción:
The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was a non aggression pact between Nazi Germany and the soviet union. This essentially meant that the sides would not attack each other, which was very beneficial for germany as it did not wish to fight a two front war when it planned to invade poland. Stalin foresaw war, and wished to build up the military. Additionally, he did not trust the western powers to stop Nazi Germany, so he made sure the Russia would be unaffected. There was another, hidden part of the deal, where Germany and the Soviet Union agreed to divide eastern europe between them, and split poland in half.
