After the Qajar dynasty, the Pahlavi dynasty begins with the coronation of pro-British Persian Reza Khan Pahlavi who had led the coup just a few years prior.The Pahlavi dynasty sees drastic reform until its end in 1979 with such modernizations such as the creation of a national bank, the establishment of a prominent university in Tehran, the adoption of Western-style uniforms, and the banning of women wearing veils.
