Woodrow Wilson’s 14 Points were stated to help bring peace after World War I.
1. No secret treaties between countries.
2. Freedom of the seas for everyone.
3. Free trade between countries.
4. Reduce weapons and military forces.
5. Fair treatment of colonies.
6. Restore Russian territory.
7. Restore Belgium’s independence.
8. Return of French territory, especially Alsase-Lorraine.
9. Readjust borders in Italy based on nationality.
10. Self-determination for the people of Austria-Hungary.
11. Self-determination for the people of the Balkans.
12. Self-determination for Turkish people, and the creation of a free Poland.
13. Create a League of Nations to help keep peace and prevent wars.
14. General association of nations for collective security and peace.
