Charles Darwin's "On the Origin of Species" introduced the idea of evolution through natural selection. Later, some used his ideas to justify imperialism by claiming that stronger nations were naturally superior and should dominate weaker ones. This idea, known as Social Darwinism, helped support European colonization during New Imperialism, even though Darwin didn’t promote this interpretation himself.
