With his execution, the end of the Velxen Empire was finally complete. The complete overhaul of the Velxen system gave way to a lot of corruption in the early years of the newly established velxen Republic. However, the nation still held a large monarchist population that, when Valkas was killed, rioted against the Oipientian occupying forces that were overseeing the peaceful transition of power and postwar reconstruction.
