2 jun 1825 año - Treaty of St. Louis
Descripción:
What Happened?
A separate group of Shawnee, many of whom had moved west voluntarily, signed a treaty in St. Louis, agreeing to settle in Kansas.
This group became the Kansas Shawnee, who later formed the basis of the Loyal Shawnee (Cherokee Shawnee).
Impact on Shawnee Removal
This treaty split Shawnee groups geographically, as some remained in Ohio while others moved to Kansas.
The Kansas Shawnee were later joined by those forcibly removed from Ohio in 1831–1833.
