The Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) organize a march in Washington, D.C. in protest of the Vietnam War in hopes of promoting a peaceful resolution. It included up to 25,000 participants, nearly matching the number of US soldiers deployed to Vietnam at the time. This is the largest anti-war protest in US history.
